Working with director Tristan Jalleh, John Fish implemented a minimal style of cinematography for the movement-based video. Boundary-pushing dancers Bhenji Ra, Sara Aiken, Chloe Chignell, Leah Landau and Oscar Vicente Slorach-Thorn performed amongst a stripped back colour palette, using projections to create contoured line based patterns.

John Fish used this raw footage as the source material for a night of bold, colour saturated live visuals & lighting. To mirror Oscar’s cathartic and high-energy performance, scale was an important factor. Three large square projection surfaces surrounding the stage gave this required presence. The Hand’s footage was manipulated on the fly to become heavily abstracted panels of moving textural colour with repeating figurative patterns.
